I currently manage four characters from Megaman (especially from the X series)

Three of them are illustrated and have designs (even if they are silly doodles), and only one has no design yet (it's just an idea for now)

My main character is: Donovan Da Moon (and he's my favorite ngl)

Cydonia used to be my main character (from 2023 to early 2025), but I no longer felt such a strong connection with her. In addition, I needed to create a new character for personal reasons, and that's when I created Donovan

My other character is called Haskell (Donovan's partner in the medical wing of Unit 17). He doesn't have a complete reference sheet yet, but he has been drawn in silly doodles alongside Donovan

My last character is the navigator of Cydonia: D-Darius. He doesn't have a reference sheet or has ever been drawn, but I've a written description of him, and I hope to be able to design him properly in the future

Could you give me some advice/tips or something for drawing?

I can say this:

• No matter how much you say that you are drawing as a hobby, that hobby must be refined over time, just as you must devote sufficient time to it
• For my part, I learned color theory using colored pencils, just as I learned to mix colors thanks to that
• A drawing style is achieved by deforming other people's styles; identity is achieved by drawing inspiration from other people's work and deforming it until it becomes your own

And remember: a good artist can come from anywhere.

Does your character Donovan have any background or lore?

Not really

Donovan isn't tied to anything important that could affect the lore of Megaman X. He's just an original character that I mold depending on my mood or that I distort just because I want to

That's what I like about him. I can take things away or add things, and it doesn't affect anything

Yes I use it, but I only add friends or frequent commission clients (this is to send their commission in the best possible quality and without compressing the image)

Donovan:

• The name “Da Moon” is a variation of the name of an album called “Rottel Da-Star” by the japanese DJ Sampling Masters. So: Da-Star 👉 Da Moon (the counterpart)
• Did you know that there are flavored cigars? There are guava-flavored ones (which are very rare), and Donovan likes those
• Weird: When Donovan eats meat, he tends to season it with mayonnaise (who the hell does that?)
• He tends to make weird faces when no one is looking or to make fun of Zero, like showing his teeth or imitating him

Cydonia:

• The name "Cydonia" comes from the name of a crater on Mars that is shaped like a strange face. In English it's “Cydonia” but in Spanish it's “Sydonia” (and is pronounced the same)
• She was going to be an arctic wolf named “Symphonia” lol (nobody likes coyotes yikes)

Haskell:

• What is Haskell? Haskell is a standardized, multipurpose, functionally pure programming language with non-strict and memorized evaluation and strong static typing based on lambda calculus.

Why did I call it Haskell Haskell? Well, first because I like that programming language, and second because I also liked the name.
